Instrumental music
in Sol-fa Notations.
Easy learning for
newbie choristers.
Instrumental music is popularly written in staff notations. Singing in staff notations involves studying the staff and many other details that an average Church chorister, who just loves singing, may not be familiar with.
This then becomes an obstacle in the teaching of songs to this grade of singers. Frequently, therefore, the Choir master brings in songs written in Tonic Sol-Fa notations represented in the scale by:-
d = doh, r = ray, m=me, f = fa, s = soh, l = la, t = te, d = doh
Tidoh, which is a mimic of the seventh and eighth note of the scale, is derived from the tonic sol-fa notations and, in this site, represents music so written.
